Ronald G. Thornton
Ron is a graduate
of the University of Florida (B.S.B.A. 1965) and Stetson University's College
of Law (J.D. 1971) and is a member of the legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi. He
was admitted into the Florida Bar in 1971. Ron is a member of the West Pasco
Bar Association (President 1980), The Florida Bar (Real Property, Probate and
Trust Law Section) and the North Suncoast Estate Planning Council, Inc. Ron has
served on the 6th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee and has
acted as its Chairman. He practices in the area of estate planning
(wills, trusts, living wills, powers of attorney with health care surrogate provisions),
probate and trust administration, and real estate law. Ron is an "AV" rated
attorney
with the Martindale-Hubbel
Rating System.
Ron was born
in Buffalo, New York, March 24, 1943, moved to the Florida West Coast
in 1959 and graduated from Clearwater High School. Upon graduating
college, he was commissioned as an officer in the Army and
served in the Vietnam War. He is a retired Captain in the U.S. Army Artillery.
Ron is married to Christina and has five children
and three grandchildren.
Ron has been honored with the Sixth Judicial Circuit Pro-Bono Award for service to indigents, West Pasco Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Citizen Award and as King Pithla of the Chasco Fiesta, recognizing community involvement.
Alfred W. Torrence, Jr.
Al is a graduate of University of South Florida (B.A. High Honors 1969) and Florida
State University (J.D. with High Honors 1972). He was admitted to The Florida
Bar, U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida and U.S. Court of Military
Appeals in 1972. Al is a member of the West Pasco Bar Association (President
1985), The Florida Bar (Health Law, Labor and Employment Law and Corporation
and Business Law Section) and the North Suncoast Estate Planning Council.
Al has served on the 6th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee and serves on the 6th Judicial Court Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee.
He practices labor and business law and
estate planning. He is an "AV" rated attorney with the Martindale-Hubble
Rating System.
Al was born in Tampa, Florida, September 10, 1947, and remained a Tampa resident throughout college. He is married to Jeanne and has two children.
Al has served as President and on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Pasco County, ARC/Pasco, Paint Your Heart Out Pasco, West Pasco Chamber of Commerce, Pasco Food Depot and the Hudson Sertoma Club. He served two terms by appointment from Governor Chiles to the Coastal Rivers Basin Board of the Southwest Florida Water Management District. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Youth and Family Alternatives and Pasco County Education Foundation, as well as on the Founding Board of Directors for the University of South Florida Law Alunmi Society. Al has been awarded the King Pithla title at the Chasco Fiesta, recognizing community involvement.
